Brain, meet power.

athenahealth provides healthcare organizations with cutting-edge data insights and healthcare IT that keep patients healthy and practices profitable. But operating squarely in the middle of two hugely complex industries — healthcare and technology — this multi-billion dollar behemoth is often confused for an insurance company or hospital network. So Colossus was tasked with reinvigorating and relaunching the brand in order to provide it with distinctiveness, personality and clarity.

Colossus created an integrated campaign consisting of more than 220 individual pieces of creative- utilizing video, digital, OOH, paid and organic social, print (including a partnership with Wired Magazine), podcast collaborations and streaming audio placements. The complex production included 3D illustrations, CG, live action and stop motion.

Colossus also launched an internal-facing campaign for the company’s 7,000+ employees. Original wall murals, branded content and LED video screens were installed across athenahealth’s seven global campuses in Boston, Atlanta, Seattle, Austin and India.

Defying the category, we built a deep graphic language as multi-faceted and innovative as the product itself. Combining CG, photography and illustration in a vibrant world of color, we embraced intelligent visual metaphors and human tonality.
